VASCULAR ONE ULTRASOUND

Vascular One Ultrasound is a dedicated vascular ultrasound service locally owned and operated by Warren and Teresa Lewis at Kotara, Newcastle.
 "Vascular" refers to the arteries and veins of the body and using ultrasound, i.e. no needles or dyes, we can assess the arteries throughtout the whole body for narrowing or blockages and also assess the veins for any thrombosis or problems with the valves e.g leg varicose veins.
 Warren was the Senior Manager and Sonographer for a vascular ultrasound diagnostic service in Newcastle for 25 years, which was sold to a company that is part of a large multi-national corporation. Concerned with the loss of personalised service offered to patients, he resigned in 2010 and in February 2011 opened the doors of Vascular One Ultrasound. With over 26 years of experience, having trained the majority of vascular sonographers in Newcastle, having played an active role on the Board of Examiners for the Diploma of Medical Ultrasound and having travelled thoughout Australia, New Zealand and China giving lectures and workshops, you can be assured you will be getting Newcastle and the hunter's most experienced vascular sonographer to perform your scan. This will result in the most accurate diagnosis possible.
 We provide a full and comprehensive range of vascular ultrasound scans and pride ourselves on the ability to provide our clients with an appointment within 48 hours or whenever is convenient to them.
 The refering Doctor will have the signed report within 24hours.
 Urgent spots are kept daily for urgent scan requests.
 To ease the financial burden to our patients, they will be bulk-billed if they are on a Government Pension or have a Healthcare card. Private patient fees are set lower than our competeitors resulting in lower out-of-pocket expenses for our patients.
 We provide a comfortable, clean and friendly environment, with tea and coffee available for our patients.
 For hospital or nursing home patients, there is ambulance/wheelchair access via a ramp and a comfortable trolley bay area.
 We are open daily Monday to Friday: 8.30am - 5pm
   Saturdays (the 1st and 3rd Saturday of the month): 8.30am - 12pm
