In May 2022, Vascular HealthCare merged with Vascular One Ultrasound to form Vascular One. Both practices have been in existence for over 10 years and can now provide a greater service to their referring practioners and patients.
Vascular HealthCare was started by Dr Alan Bray, a pioneer of the development of vascular ultrasound in Australia, establishing Newcastle and the Hunter as a centre of excellence in the field. For his outstanding contributions in the field of vascular surgery, Alan was awarded the Order of Australia Medal in 2018.
Vascular One Ultrasound was started by Mr Warren Lewis, who has over 30 years experience as a vascular sonographer. Warren was Alan's first sonographer when vascular ultrasound was in it's infancy.
In 2009, Alan started working closely with Dr Mathew Sebastian and Dr Nicole Organ. Following Alan's retirement from surgery in 2012, both Drs Sebastian and Organ took over the practice, thereby ensuring continuity of patient care.
