Richard Rounsley

Richard gained his initial qualification in Pathology, and after spending 14 years in this area he obtained a Bachelor of Medical Science and a Postgraduate qualification in Medical Ultrasound (DMU- Vascular). He started vascular ultrasound in 2010, in 2014 was promoted to Chief Sonographer and in 2021 became General Manager.

Richard works hard to ensure that patients and doctors are provided with accurate and timely clinical information to ensure best practice and treatment across all fields of Vascular ultrasound. Richard is a member of the Australasian Sonographers Association (ASA) and works closely with the team of Vascular One sonographers and surgeons in a collaborative environment encompassing ongoing case reviews and continuing education.

Jenny Hunter

Jenny has worked in the field of vascular ultrasound for nearly twenty years. She trained in Newcastle and was awarded the Diploma of Medical Ultrasonography (DMU-Vasc) in February 1999. She has specialised in phlebology work for over thirteen years and has been the dedicated sonographer for Hunter Vein Clinic since its inception in February 2006. She works closely with phlebologist Dr Naomi Hunter, and is involved with all stages of patient care, from initial mapping scans to treatment under ultrasound guidance and follow up regimes. She is a member of the Australasian Society for Ultrasound in Medicine, the Australasian Sonographer Accreditation Registry, and is an affiliate member of the Australasian College of Phlebology. Jenny has performed diagnostic venous ultrasound examinations on literally thousands of lower limbs and has assisted with over 500 endovenous laser procedures. She frequently participates in venous conferences and demonstrations, and in-house education sessions for general practitioners.

Jillian Moore

Jillian developed a particular interest in vascular ultrasound whilst working as a general sonographer and completed the Diploma of Medical Ultrasonography (DMU-vasc) while training at Hornsby Vascular Laboratory. After time spent working in London she returned to Sydney, working at Norwest Vascular Laboratory before relocating to the Hunter Valley and joining the Vascular One team. Jill enjoys the close working relationship with the vascular surgeons and Hunter Vein Clinic. She is a member of the Australian Society of Ultrasound in Medicine and Australian Sonographers Association.

Lauren Hughes

Lauren has a Bachelor of Applied Science in Nuclear Medicine Technology and a Diploma of Medical Ultrasonography (DMU). Lauren is an accredited medical sonographer and has been working and studying in the ultrasound field since 2007. Her experience in vascular ultrasound includes working closely with vascular surgeons throughout Sydney at the Bankstown and Burwood Vascular Laboratories, Royal North Shore Private Hospital, Liverpool Vascular Laboratory and Westmead Private Hospital. She is a member of the Australian Sonographer’s Association. Lauren’s expertise and knowledge will ensure the most accurate diagnosis possible and her friendly nature will put you at ease.

David Wroblewski

Having completed a degree in Biomedical Science with first class honours in 2007 at the University of Newcastle, David then spent a number of years as a research scientist investigating mechanisms of chemoresistance in metastatic melanoma. He has worked as a vascular sonographer with the team at Vascular One since 2014.
